I needed a rear spring for my Nissan Versa and they told me it was on "National Back Order." They refused to let me have a used car from their lot and then Nissan Corporate refused to pay for a rental. So for almost three weeks, I begged everyone I know for a ride - I missed work, personal appointments and it was a real nightmare.
The guy I spoke with from Nissan America named "Angelo" told me National Back Order was common at Nissan. He told me it was a shame that I didn't rent a car because he would have reimbursed me! I was still willing to compromise and asked since the part would be less than a rental that they would at least pay for that - they refused. I will never step foot in a Nissan Dealership and within the next year I will be buying a new car for myself and one for my fiance too.
For a few hundred bucks they lost 50K. WAY TO GO ANGELO!
