Nissan told me I needed a new engine.?
My 2009 Nissan Murano started to blow blue (25,000 miles) smoke only when started first thing in the AM. My wife called Cherry Hill Nissan service department and the service rep told my wife that it was due to the hot weather we were experiencing, as long as no engine warning lights are on not to worry??. She told me what was said and i thought that didn't sound right?? We then brought the car into CH Nissan and they proceeded to tell us that we needed a new engine that costs approx $10,000. We were told that they wanted all our oil change receipts for the past two years otherwise Nissan would not cover the warranty. Needless to say we did not have the receipts. I then took the car to the dealer where we leased the vehicle (Woodbury Nissan) for a second opinion, Woodbury Nissan replaced a few parts and flushed the engine, I was still charged $700 for labor but that was better then $10,000. My recommendation is that you avoid Cherry Hill Nissan at all costs, SALES and SERVICE, I was treated better at Woodbury.(Thanks Mr.Lott) ,
It is a shame that Nissan Corporation does not stand behind their (supposedly) bumper to bumper warranty.
Not sure if i will ever lease another Nissan but if i do it will be at Woodbury not Cherry Hill.
Review about: Nissan Car.
