We bought a new 2012 Nissan Frontier pick-up with standard transmission. After 27,000 miles the clutch and flywheel disintegrated.

A $1,400 repair brought no help from Nissan for coverage under the 36,000 drive train warranty. I called Nissan consumer repairs repeatedly to talk to talk to them about the issue. The representatives would never answer their phones and it took 2-3 days for them to call back. They would always just say, the parts are not warrantable and this is normal wear and tear.

We took it to an independent garage for repairs and the comment by the mechanic was, "I can't believe this isn't covered under warranty. A clutch should last 100,000 miles.

Product or Service Mentioned: Nissan Repair.

Reason of review: Warranty issue.

Monetary Loss: $1500.

Preferred solution: Full refund.

I didn't like: Responce to obvious defect, Refusal to honor warranty, Customer service, Dealership assistance.
