Nissan in Greenville, South Carolina - Would not stand behind a $1100 seat repair for a car 6 months out of warranty.

I have a 2008 Nissan Altima. The power seat quit working 42 months after purchasing. The warranty is 36 months. The seat motors cannot be individually replaced and the entire seat unit has to be replaced which is an $1100 repair. This obviously was a defective seat but Nissan will not stand behind this repair. They are not a very ethical company. The customer service people at Nissan would not even send me a letter stating that this was normal or abnormal for their product. They would only state that it was out of warranty. They should get credit for selling me two Nissan, my first and my last.

Nissan Seats Break and They have No Recall

I have a 2005 Nissan Murano with only 50,000 miles, so I don't abuse my cars, and I only weight about 140 lbs, so I don't understand how the drivers Seat can break, I would think it's a safety issue, when I spoke to the repair man he said it happens in all the Nissan, so that means something is wrong with the cars, so why no recall, why should I have to spend from $800.00 up to fix something that was not good in the first place, in all the years I have had cars I never heard of the seat just breaking. I am so pissed and there is no way to get to anyone in Nissan to complain, other then making sure on one else buys one of there lemons that even they don't stand behind.

Nissan as a Company

My family purchased six Nissan models over past five years, my last purchase was 370Z Nissan Sports Convertible. Great Car, until I let it sit for month and battery went dead and took out full electronics in car. I had towed to dealer and they said two weeks for part, after two weeks, I called and they stated the part ( computer ) would be about six weeks. I told them that I needed a vehicle and they stated that I could rent one. I called Nissan customer service and that was totally a waste of time. No one would listen, no place to make a complaint. I rented a vehicle for six weeks, and when I never hear from Nissan I called and they stated the part would be in by end of October. A full five months. I asked to speak to the manager and told him to take part out of new car and put in mine, and he stated " that would be ***, how would I sell the new car?" I said would it not be better to have happy customer, and he stated that I complain too much and that it would be better I leave and not come back, he does not need business that causes him problems. I left, and when part came in Oct I got fixed and told them I had sold all but this car and that it was not sold. NO MORE NISSAN's. My company has twelve Nissans, and I will not allow any further in our fleet.

Nissan denied me a covered repair it took 5 weeks to tell me

my murano has been smoking when I start it...it took nissan 5 weeks to tell me they are denying repairing it, the dealership never told me in writing what is wrong with it...they just said it wasn't maintained, although I have 5 receipts of oil changes and other repairs... what to do? I still amn covered for another 10 months...they are talking about engine replacement but no engine light comes on and the car drives well...I don't get it...I have been given NOThing IN WRITING. what GIVES? I cannot drive the car for fear it will get worse, still not knowing what is wrong. This is in Long Island, New York.

Nissan in Fayetteville, North Carolina - Sell Me What I Want!

Called looking for a specific vehicle eng, transmission and option package at the end of the model year. Dealer told me there was one available but since I had USAA pricing he would not tell me where it was because he did not participate in USAA pricing. Tried calling Nissan USA but no one ever answered the call after hours on hold (twice). Service lousy at corporate and dealers are even worse. They tried to sell me something at least $3000 more than what I wanted. Nissan is terrible at customer service and their dealers ensure they stink at consumer level too.
