Nissan--ugh

have a 2003 Nissan Murano. Roof just started rusting for no reason. They said because outside warranty, they're unwilling to help fix it. A 2003 car paint should not be rusting at this age. They feel it's an outside influence and therefor i'm on my own. No one else's car has this, at work or home. Park in the driveway and protected cover at work. I said "So, you're willing to lose a customer for life because you dont want to help pay to fix it?". they said i'm sorry you feel that way, but we won't be helping you. Some Customer Service they turned out to be. Shame, cuz i liked the car and was looking to buy a new one next year. Not now. Bye bye Nissan!

Nissan in Atlanta, Georgia - Tried to get me to pay for work that was not needed

I took my 1992 Nissan Truck to the Nissan Dealer Ship in Macon Georgia for a front in alignment. The service manager later called to say I needed to purchase a caster and cam kit for the front of my vehicle which would cost me 299.00 plus tax. I elected not to do so. They later called and said my truck was ready when I picked it up and drove it the steering pulled so hard to the right side it would pull you into the next lane. I called them and told them about the problem and I would be back the next day. I went back the next morning and spoke with the head manager. He said they were suppose to drive my truck to make sure it was fixed before giving it back to me. I explained to him that the truck was alot worse now then it was when I brought it there. He did take care of the problem. However my thing is this what happened to this 300.00 worth of work I needed? Now all of a sudden I no longer need it. It appears to me that they tried to get me to pay for things that I did not need just to get money out of me. Not to mention the service manager lied when he said they drove my vehicle before giving it to me.

Will NEVER own another Nissan! Bad customer service.

The customer service has been so bad since the day I left the dealership. I leased it at the Nissan Dealership in Poway, CA (San Diego County). I lease a Altima Coupe 4 cyl.. Part of the initial agreement was that for 2,000, they would install a sunroof. But, that if I changed my mind the money would be refunded. I changed my mind....and they agreed to refund the money. However, when I went to the dealership to pick up the check, they informed me they could not issue a refund any longer. And that my only choice was to have the sunroof installed or dont have it installed and still dont get my money back. I had it installed. It looked horrible. The company who did it left glue every where. The seal was not finished. The company has had to replace it twice, the motor has been fixed twice and it is broken again. The manager of the dealership is a total *** bag. When you make a payment on line or by phone you have to pay a 12.50 fee. So ***. Every time I need to talk to customer service I end up speaking to someone sitting in a call center in India that I can not even understand. The accent is so heavy. I will never own another Nissan. I have leased a vehicle from Audi of Miramar, CA. I highly recommend them. Awesome customer service, great warranty, complimentary vehicle to use while yours is being serviced, they were a wonderful dealership to work with. Nissan Sucks.

Nissan in Herndon, Virginia - Extension-incompetence and mean spiritedness

Nissan approved a 1 month extension to our otherwise perfect contract, but took 31 days to finish their own beleaguered paperwork we'd submitted on a timely basis, then reported us over 30 days late and won't rescind this cruel, mean-spirited, incompetent remark to all 3 credit bureaus so we're having it removed by other legal means. Welcome to Superior Court you jerks. No more Nissans for us; I was going to buy another Titan but there's a Chevy Silverado sitting there now, and glad of it especially after reading all the Nissan garbage on the net. They and their so-called finance company should be drummed out of town

Nissan won't stand behind faulty product

I recently purchased a used 2006 Nissan Pathfinder, I have purchased Nissans prior to this and thought because this would be comparable to my previous auto, 2001 X-Terra. But to my dismay I have found it to be a very expensive piece of junk. I have had the vehicle for 3 months, I paid over $16,000.00 for it, it had 110+thousand miles on it when I purchased it, my X-Terra had 160,00+ and not 1 problem in 5 yrs. Nissans are known to go 250,000 miles or better. I have taken very good care of my vehicles as they are my main mode of transportation. Last week end I was on my way home when all of a sudden I experienced an awful vibration while driving down the interstate, I pulled over and shut the vehicle off and then started it back up again, it seem to be running fine until I tried to move it, it then started to vibrate and shake again. I then opened the radiator to check the fluid and found the radiator to be full of tranny fluid. I called the dealer and they asked for the mileage and VIN number. They also said they would warranty the radiator but not the transmission but only up to 80,000. I was really getting aggravated so I started to search the symptoms on the web, only to find that I am not the only one with this issue, it appears to be a design flaw with the 2006 Nissan Pathfinders and Nissan has not done a recall on them, although they did extend the warranty for the radiator assembly and transmission from 36 months/36,000 miles to 96 months/80,000 miles, including damage, repairs, replacement, and related towing resulting from this issue if you purchase the vehicle new. So this reinforces that they are aware of the issue and that they should recall or make good for the problem. I contacted Nissan Assist and they informed me that there was an issue and that they were aware, I explained that I purchased the vehicle from a dealer and that it was over the warranty mileage and they stated that Nissan may assist me anyways where I had just purchased the vehicle, and that I needed to get the problem diagnosed by a Nissan dealer and then call consumer affairs with the estimate. So I did as I was told hoping that Nissan would stand behind their product and assist me. The service person said that this was a common problem and that they would have to replace the transmission and the radiator. This was going to cost 6K or better. I called Nissan consumer affairs and gave them the estimate and they said they would not do anything and that I would have to figure out how to get it repaired on my own.

Future Nissan at Roseville Automall.

On Sat. April 28, 2012 I took my car for oil change, 7500 miles service and brake check since I felt it slightly pulsating. I dropped the car at service, they were curious and pleasant. About 15 minutes later they called saying the car is done. I was surprised that it is done so fast, so I asked - on the phone - what is done on the car, and the guy said "oil change". I said what about the other things I requested, and he said it seems to be an oversight from the oil change guys and that he will take it back to the shop. Four hours later I call to check on the status of my car. I called 5 time without being able to reach a life person. Finally I got Chris who said that they done oil change on my car!! I said what about the other things I requested, and he said there is nothing else. He then offered that I speak to my service adviser. She too said that the only thing done on my car is oil change. I got mad at her, and asked her to read to me what did I request in the morning. She then said "oh yah we also did the 7500 miles service". I said what about the brake? and she quickly answered, that is part of the 7500 miles service. I wanted to speak to a service manager, and one was not available on Saturday. So at this point, I do not really know if they really did the 7500 miles service? did they really check the brake? This is very frustrating.

Nissan in Waukegan, Illinois - Passenger door hinge pin rust

The pine in the door hinge on the passenger side rusted and the door now doesn't open properly. this is apparently not Nissan's problem even though the car is 2007. How does a part rust after five years to the point were now the whole door needs to be replaced????? Shoddy workmanship is really to blame and I have heard of other door issues with the sentra as well. If you get a Nissan, check the warranty and the doors. They are poorly put together! I can't believe that a five year old car would have rust anywhere already. The dealership even did most of the oil changes and lubing during this time.
