2012 nissan murano sunroof explodes

While driving on highway doing 65mph my wife and myself heard a Big Bang that sounded like a shotgun blast. Scared the pants of both of us, pulled over to side of road and notice my sunroof exploded. Drove home called called dealer who said this is not cover so had to call my insurance company where I had full glass coverage and took my car to body shop to get it repaired. went on internet to find out this has happen to many other drivers and if Nissan does not take responsibility soon someone is going to get injured.

Poor service at Upper James Nissan
Poor service at Upper James Nissan
Poor service at Upper James Nissan
I recently took my car to Nissan in Hamilton to have the rear right axle seal fixed...it was under warranty. My local mechanic noticed it was leaking and suggested I go to Nissan to have it replaced. After an hour or so at the dealership they told me they could not...

Nissan in Easton, Pennsylvania - 3 yr old faulty steering column sensor

Our steering in our 2010 Nissan Sentra started acting up one day. When wheel was turned to the left it was very loose but when turned to the right it was very tight as if in manual steering mode. When this happened was random and could be fine for 3 days and then act up again for no reason at all. We took it in to the dealer and discovered, after hours of "nothing wrong.. seems fine", that there was a malfunctioning sensor in the steering column which unfortunately cannot be replaced on its own. We have to replace the entire steering column for $2600. I called consumer affairs and after about a week we received word that Nissan will cover $1500 of the repair. Better than nothing and I am very appreciative of this however I am still concerned by the fact that this happened in a 3 yr old car. We're getting it replaced but will be skeptical to purchase a Nissan in the future.

Nissan 112 Patchogue - worst dealer

Dealing with Nissan 112, Medford, NY was by far the worst experience I have ever had with any car dealership. It was, perhaps one of the worst dealing with any company in my life. I believe they deliberately mislead, misinformed and under informed my daughter and I when she was purchasing a new car. When my daughter went there on her own to discuss the issue, they were condescending and insulting. Avoid this dealership. We have made over 8 trips back to the dealership. They promise to call but never call. They could not care less about a customer once they have your money.

Nissan Versa Hatchback failure and Nissan's apathy.

2009 Nissan Versa hatchback with 45,000 miles has hatchback latch failure. Replaced switch but no solution. Nissan dealer claims part and labor over $700 to repair. Vehicle never in an accident but hatch mechanism failed. Nissan customer service spent 3 weeks of my time delaying the inevitable "we cannot assist" response. Nissan offers a telephone customer service number but I played phone tag for quite some time. Company does not offer online customer service. Filed a complaint with NHTSA as this is a safety issue. From online sources problem is not exclusive to Versa but other models as well. Other independent repair shops in area report similar problems with other Nissan models.

Nissan - 2nd Transmission Failure

1st transmission failed at 99k miles. 2nd transmission failed at 125k miles. Customer rep at Nissan stated they would cover the tranny because it was 2nd tranny and it was only 5k over warranty. I went to submit paperwork and Nissan denied the claim stating I was misinformed from their customer service rep. I had towed my vehicle to dealership and was made to wait over a week for their decision. Horrible quality and poor customer service. They also stated that I should do whatever I need to to feel better like contact the BBB. Really!!!!???? I want to reach someone higher. I need a resolution on this, they placed me in this position I didn't do it. Their product quality is ***.

2009 Nissan Maxima Sunroof Exploded

My daughter was driving down the hwy and her sunroof on her 2009 Maxima exploded. It scared her so bad that she had to put all and sit for a while. She did not know what had happen to her, and thank God both of her shades were closed because she could have been cut up or badly hurt. Even worse someone else could have been hurt and thank God no one was behind her. I called Nissan and they told me to take it to the Nissan Dealership and get an estimate. I did that only for them to call me back to say it could have been a rock or something. Seriously - don't you think something else would have happen if a rock hit the sunroof. WOW Come on Nissan - this has happen to - too many of your cars. My daughter and her father both bought one at the same time. Nissan come on and treat your people right.

I needed a rear spring for my Nissan Versa and they told me it was on "National Back Order." They refused to let me have a used car from their lot and then Nissan Corporate refused to pay for a rental. So for almost three weeks, I begged everyone I know for a ride -...
