Brake rotors replaced after only 22k miles.

Nissan complaint
My 2005 Titan had to have new rotors on front after only 7k miles. Although these were covered under warrantee I had to replace them again recently after another 22k miles. I expect to replace brake pads after this many miles and usually expect (from past experience with other vehicles) to get at least 30 to 40k miles on front rotors before having to replace. The fact that the first set had to be replaced early and that the local dealer said the second set was "excessively corroded" I firmly believe Nissan should pay for this second installation of front rotors. According to your advertisements this truck is suppose to be able to tow 8 or 9k lbs. I have never towed anything! I think if I had I might have killed myself knowing what I know now about the quality of the front brake system.

Based on what I have read on your posting, neither you, nor your Dealer, have any knowledge nor experience, in the function of a Hub & Rotor.

A Disc Brake Rotor, whether it is a Hub & Rotor, or just a Rotor, is made from Gray Cast Iron Material, and its sole purpose is to absorbe and dissipate heat created by the disc brake pads being applied against the cast iron surface of the rotor, whether it is a Hub & Rotor, or a Rotor only.

The Rotor absorbs and disappates the heat, created from the friction material (disc brake pad), being applied with tremendous force, against the Rotor, in an attempt to slow or stop the vehicle.

Usually there is no reason to replace the Rotors, or even to machine the Rotors.

The Rotors do not wear out.

The Original Equipment Disc Brake Rotors, are manufactured to fantastic specifications, which can not be met, or duplicated, in the After-Market.

Somebody is stroking Somebody.

Ignorance in Brake Systems, is either deliberate or accidental.

My recommendation is that you only do business with people that have a real knowledge of brake system and components.
