DON'T BUY A NISSAN this is my second Nissan with a bad transmission our Xterra (in perfect shape but can't drive) has had a lawsuit which they didn't repair the problem caused by their lousy design! Who out there is going to stop them. I don't think them paying partial for a problem they caused is right THEY SHOULD REPAIR THE PROBLEM at full cost to them. I have a 2008 Altima that has a sticky and shiny dashboard which is causing safety concerns with the glare which is blinding. Nissan refuses to do anything. I'm not the only one with this problem. The service engine soon light is on, I knew what was wrong and have been in contact with Nissan motors case #22038478 about it because there was a recall for the problem but my vehicle was not included and Nissan motors said I have to have a dealership run the diagnosis before they will help so I did and now Nissan motors is not going to help with it and I spent $131.00 at ABC Nissan to tell me what I already knew. I bought a new Nissan Rogue a couple of months ago. When I developed a problem,, I called their customer service line. They play these games with you. They call you and let you tell them your problem just to tell you they will have some one else to call you. Hello TO ALL DISAPPOINTED NISSAN MURANO OWNERS! I looked on craiglist and saw a sea of muranos for sale...next to nothing with crack transfer cases. The transmissions are not the problem (that's why they cover them), they are fairly sound! Its the tiny transfer case that takes the abuse of constant heat from rotation. The heat breaks down the gear oil, which in turn wears the bearings and shortens the life of the transfer case! And Nissan knows... Read more

My SUV was diagnosed with a manufacturing defective transmission and now has issues with the transmission cooler pipes splitting causing cross contamination between the radiator coolant & transmission fluid. Which resulted in a failure to the automatic transmission. I have been having brake pressure issues and i called nissan to see if there is a recall and nope there is not. But reading all reviews and so many other people having the same issue, i dont see why itis not. I spoke to a nissan employee and she made me aware that i am not the only complaint. The CVT transmission in my 2011 Nissan Rogue is garbage, just like many others I've discovered who are having the same issue.
